Terms of Use
What you can expect from us, what we ask of you, and how to cancel — written to be read, not to be skipped.
Last updated: 17 August 2026
The short version
Memberships are monthly and you can cancel any time — you keep the e-book either way. Everything we teach is education, not emergency response: if you are in immediate danger, call 999. Be kind in the community, don't share other members' stories outside it, and don't copy our guides for someone else's business.
1. Who we are, and what these terms cover
Her Security is operated by Hans Global Ltd, trading as Her Security, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14729395), registered office Suite 1a, 2nd Floor, Hunter House, 150 Hutton Road, Shenfield, Essex, CM15 8NL. In these terms, "we", "us" and "Her Security" mean that company, and "you" means you.
These terms apply whenever you use hersecurity.co.uk, buy the e-book, hold a membership, or take part in our community. By doing any of those things you accept them. If you do not accept them, please don't use the service.
2. Who can join
You must be 18 or over to buy from us or join the community, and the details you give us must be accurate. Your account is personal to you — please don't share your login, because doing so puts other members' privacy at risk.
3. What you're buying
- The e-book (E-Book) — £9.99, one-off. The full guide, yours to keep, plus our weekly email. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
- Membership (The Circle) — £12.99 a month. The e-book, the global community, the members' WhatsApp group and the content library, for as long as your membership is active.
- Membership (The Inner Circle) — £19.99 a month. Everything in the Circle, plus personal risk assessments, the full e-book library, report-a-crime guidance, the Krav Maga self-defence course, access to a Close Protection specialist and our direct support line. Five per cent of each payment goes to the HS Foundation.
Prices include VAT where it applies. We may change our prices, but never for an existing membership without telling you at least 30 days beforehand — and you can cancel before the change takes effect.
4. Payment and renewal
Memberships are billed monthly in advance from the date you join, and renew automatically until you cancel. If a payment fails we will try again and let you know; if it keeps failing we may pause your access until it's resolved.
5. Cancelling, and your right to change your mind
You can cancel a membership at any time from your account in the member portal, or by emailing hello@hersecurity.co.uk. Your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to change your mind about something bought online. Because our e-book and courses are digital content delivered immediately, when you buy them you are asked to agree that delivery starts straight away and to acknowledge that you therefore lose that 14-day right for that content. If you would rather wait out the 14 days before downloading, tell us and we'll hold delivery.
None of this affects your legal rights if something we sell you is faulty, not as described, or not provided with reasonable care and skill. If we've got it wrong, tell us and we'll put it right.
6. Not an emergency service
If you are in immediate danger, call 999. Her Security is an education platform and a community. We are not an emergency service, a crisis line, a counselling service or a substitute for the police. Our support line and our specialists are not monitored around the clock and must never be relied on in an emergency. For urgent help we will always point you to the police, NHS 111, or a specialist crisis line.
7. Education, not advice — and training safely
Everything we publish is general safety education. It is not legal advice, medical advice, or professional advice about your particular situation, and following it cannot guarantee your safety. You remain responsible for the decisions you make.
The Krav Maga course and any other physical training we provide carries a risk of injury. Take part within your own limits, in a safe space, and speak to a doctor first if you have any injury, condition or pregnancy that might be affected. By taking part you accept that you do so at your own risk.
Risk assessments and conversations with our specialists are professional opinion based on the information you give us. They are guidance to help you decide, not a warranty about what will or won't happen.
8. Community rules
The community only works because of how members treat each other. Inside it:
- She is believed. No interrogation, no blame, no "what were you wearing".
- What's shared here stays here. Do not screenshot, repost or repeat another member's story outside the community. This is the rule we enforce most strictly.
- Do not name alleged offenders, or post anything that could identify a victim of a sexual offence — as well as being unfair, it can be a criminal offence and can prejudice a live case.
- No harassment, abuse, discrimination, spam, or promoting your own business.
- Do not give medical, legal or security advice as though you are qualified, unless you are.
We moderate the community and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. For serious breaches — particularly sharing another member's story — we may close your account without a refund.
9. Our content
The guides, e-books, courses, videos, branding and everything else on Her Security belong to us or our licensors. When you buy or subscribe, we give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use that content for your own safety.
Please don't copy, resell, republish or share our materials, use them to train or teach others commercially, or feed them into an AI system. If you'd like to use something for a school, workplace or charity, just ask — we're usually happy to help.
10. Content you post
You keep ownership of anything you post. You give us permission to display it within the service so the community works. Please only post things you have the right to share, and remember that other members can see them.
11. Availability
We aim to keep everything running, but we can't promise the site or portal will always be available or uninterrupted. We may change, update or withdraw parts of the service, and we'll give members reasonable notice of anything significant.
12. Our responsibility to you
We don't exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Beyond that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for the acts of third parties who cause you harm. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Ending your membership
You can leave whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where we reasonably believe it puts other members at risk. If we close your account for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund the unused part of what you've paid.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll email members at least 30 days beforehand, and you can cancel before it takes effect if you're not happy.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your own country.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first — we'd much rather sort it out directly.
